Sunday’s Playground

Privacy

Your game data stays on your computer unless you choose to send something to us.

There is no account or login, and the game does not use analytics services, advertising identifiers, or background uploads. While you play, the game stores saves, settings, crash information and, if you have enabled it, anonymous play statistics on your computer. A report is sent to us only when you choose to send one from inside the game.

The files created by the game are stored in its own data folder. You can open that folder, inspect the files, and delete them yourself.

This page describes the same privacy practices shown in the game under Settings › Credits › Privacy.

What the game stores

  • Saves. Each profile has its own run, Axioms and Recompilation ranks, and breeding record. The game also keeps a small number of rolling backups so that an interrupted save does not leave you with only one copy.
  • ```
  • Settings. Audio, display, controls, gameplay and tutorial preferences are stored locally and shared across profiles.
  • Crash reports. When the game crashes, it can write a local crash report containing information such as the error, where it occurred, the game version, operating system, graphics adapter, screen resolution, and recent entries from the game’s own log. The crash reporter does not read your personal files.
  • Feedback bundles. When you choose to send feedback, the game creates a bundle containing your message and relevant diagnostic information. Depending on the options you select, it can also include a screenshot, the active profile’s save data, and anonymous play statistics. The screenshot and save are controlled by separate options that you can turn off before sending.
  • Anonymous play statistics, if enabled. The game can record counters and timings about how a run progresses, such as rounds won and lost, objective times, sectors conquered, things built or crafted, screens visited, and resources gained or spent. These statistics do not include text you type or information intended to identify you. You are asked whether you want this recording enabled, and your choice is remembered until you change it.
```
When you send a report
A report is uploaded only when you choose to send it from the feedback panel or respond to the crash notice and confirm that you want to send it. The report is sent to a server operated for Sunday’s Playground.
```

The contents of the upload depend on the options you selected. They may include your message, diagnostic information, crash files, and any screenshot, save data, or play statistics you chose to include.

We use submitted reports to investigate bugs, improve the game, and provide support. We do not sell report data or use it for advertising.

As part of receiving an upload, our web server may record standard connection information, including the internet address the upload came from. This is standard server logging used for security and troubleshooting.

We delete submitted reports when they are no longer needed and, in any case, within twelve months.

```
Steam
If you run the game through Steam, Steam receives information about your activity on its platform, such as the fact that you are playing and how long you have played. The game can also provide Steam with a status line for your friends list, such as “Epoch 4 · Veyr-Forge · Wreck Perimeter”.
```

If you enable Steam Cloud, Steam stores copies of your game saves and settings so they can be used on your other devices. Steam’s own privacy policy applies to information collected and processed by Steam.

Playing without Steam does not otherwise change the practices described on this page.

```
How to control your data
```

Reports: simply do not press Send. Nothing is uploaded automatically. The feedback panel can also save the report bundle to your computer so you can inspect it before deciding whether to send it. The screenshot and save can each be disabled before sending.

Play statistics: open Settings, choose the Gameplay tab, and turn off “Record anonymous pacing data”. From that point onward, the game stops recording these statistics.

Local crash reports and feedback bundles: you can delete these files from the game’s data folder at any time.

If you have sent us a report and want to know what information we still hold, or want a submitted report deleted, contact support@sundaysplayground.com.

If we introduce a new type of data collection or materially change what is sent, we will update this page and, where appropriate, ask for your consent again.
